Robert J. Sullivan, Sr., 89, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. He was the loving husband of Muriel M. (VanBost) Sullivan for 60 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Sarah T. (Casey) Sullivan and Marcus Sullivan.

Robert was a graduate of Lockwood High School in Warwick and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He went on to work in sales and later as a contractor specialist for Grossman’s Lumber for over thirty years. A hardworking man, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who provided a loving home for his family. He was a parishioner of Sts. Rose & Clement Parish in Warwick and enjoyed golfing in his free time.

Alongside his wife Muriel, he is survived by his beloved children, Robert J. Sullivan, Jr. (Melissa) of Warwick, Timothy P. Sullivan (Patricia) of West Warwick, and Kathleen L. Eisemann (late Kevin) of Warwick. He was the proud grandpa of Ryan Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, and Isla Sullivan. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his siblings, John Sullivan of California and Joseph Sullivan of Exeter and he was the brother of the late Marcus, Raymond, Donald, William, Frederick and Paul Sullivan, Eileen Rawlinson, and Dolores Tavarozzi.

His Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 9:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM at Sts. Rose & Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
