Longtime Warwick resident Gordon Wilmot had no clue of his surprise 90th birthday party on Saturday, March 15 at the Indian Lake Clubhouse in Narragansett. After all, his birthday wouldn’t be until March 21 and he was expecting to see his granddaughter who was home from American University for spring break. When he arrived at the clubhouse he was surprised to find relatives had traveled from as far away as Mexico, Kansas and Washington, D.C. for the celebration. Wilmot founded Computer Service Consultants, which later became CSC Paymaster, which is still based in Warwick and run by family members. About 60 people, most members of the extended Wilmot family, attended the event featuring, four cakes with four messages – one simply wishing Happy Birthday, another from his children, another from grandchildren and a fourth from great-grandchildren.
