July 3: City of Warwick will host an Independence Day firework display at Oakland Beach at 9 p.m. The rain date is July 5 at the same location at the same time.
July 4: Warwick Neck Improvement Association 4th of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Aldrich Mansion grounds at the Warner Ave entrance. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. for participants. Walk, bring an animal, small or large, ride your decorated bike or drive your spruced up golf cart, car, scooter, motorcycle, or any other machine. The rain date is July 5 at the same location at the same time.
July 9: RISPCA Summer Learning Series: Rhode Island SPCA continues their Summer Learning Series on Wednesday, July 9! Please join us for a workshop with cat behavior specialist, Cathy Simonini (of Cathy's Cat Corner), to learn how to strengthen your bond with your purry feline friend! This free event starts at 6pm. July 9: Viewing of “Slatersville” documentary at the Warwick Public Library from 6-7:30 p.m. Filmmaker Christian de Rezendes will present clips from several episodes that explore Warwick’s connection to the Slater family, with a special focus on the Clouds Hill Mansion. He will be joined by Ann Holst, a Slater descendant, who will co-host the event. This event is free and open to all.

July 18: Sea Glass & Beach Treasures 'Wind Chimes' will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at Warwick Center for the Arts, 3259 Post Rd., Warwick. The cost is $55. Learn to wrap your beach treasures to create a garden wind chime using stainless steel wire and driftwood. Your creation will be the envy of all who enter your garden! July 22: “Married in Moscow” lecture at the Warwick Public Library at 7 p.m. Join authors Joann and Jim Mead for a talk about living in the Soviet Union from 1979-1981 and discover how Russia in 2025 is shaped by the past.
July 23: Needle Felting for Teens at the Warwick Public Library from 2:30-4 p.m. for grades 6-12. Join local fiber artist Miss Pokey from Poke-It Felting for a hands-on needle felting workshop. Learn the basics of 2D needle felting while creating your own wool painting. All materials are provided and no experience is needed. Registration begins Wed, July 2.
August 5: National Night Out at Rocky Point from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is put on by the City of Warwick and the Warwick Police Department. There will be vendors, food, activities and more.

NAMI-RI Offers Family Support Groups: The Rhode Island chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness offers free support groups for families and friends of loved ones struggling with mental health. Groups are led by trained facilitators with experience with family members. Meetings last 1.5 hours, and everyone gets a chance to share.
