To the Editor:
We are nothing in this world but a speck of dust;
with no idea what to do,
except muddle through and adjust.
Yet sometimes we see some people do wonderful things —
heroic things.
Some even almost get killed for us.
Yet we just survive with no wings.
What is the glory of God like?
an Armageddon light?
a hurricane of might?
Can we contemplate or begin to understand the Glory of God?
How can we as humble people come even close to being such a force for God?
Many people in the world think they're done and run.
But God would say different.
He wants us to strive,
to come alive
and think about what His word meant.
’Twas a poor baby with nothing,
Not even a warm place to sleep,
who heard our cries from above.
He showed Himself on one dark night in a manger,
like a delicate dove.
He was born to save us from ourselves
when we live as mere humans do.
But when we do something exceptional like Him —
that's when the Glory of God comes through.
