Thomas Dietz Eckstein, 72, of East Greenwich, died on Sunday, May 10, 2020. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Peter and Mildred (Howland) Eckstein.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He went on to work as a Machinist and Truck Driver for the Machine Service Company. In his free time, he enjoyed Tuna Fishing and was a participant in the Galilee Tuna Tournament.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Laurie A. Charpentier of Hope Valley, Lisa M. Pietros of East Greenwich, and Kerri Larsson of Worcester, MA, a sister, Darlene Edwards, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Peter Eckstein, Joseph Eckstein, Robert Eckstein, and Leonora Eckstein.
Due to current health and safety regulations his Funeral Service with Military Honors will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
