The Toll Gate softball team has been on a tear as of late and remains toward the top of the Division II standings as it heads into the final week of the regular season.
The Titans pieced together an eight-game win streak that would be snapped on Tuesday by fellow Division power East Greenwich in an 8-3 decision.
Kathryn Motta, Julia Maker and Sydnee Perreault knocked in runs for Toll Gate on Tuesday while pitcher Emma Harrold and Delaney Wilson combined for three striekouts.
The Titans edged North Kingstown 11-7 on Monday afternoon. Eliana Goldman led the way at the plate going 2-for-4 with four RBI. Avry Dewar added a pair of RBI, while Julia Krause, Honor Meunier and Wilson also knocked in runs.
Harrold pitched three innings and struck out five batters while Wilson pitched four innings and recorded five strikeouts.
The Titans also worked their way past Woonsocket in a 16-13 decision on Saturday afternoon up at Winslow Park.
This time, it was Amanda Preston who paced Toll Gate at the plate as she knocked in four runs. Krause, Maker, Kylie Whitney and Marlee Walsh all recorded pairs of RBI while Motta added one run. Harrold and Wilson once again split pitching duties and each finished with three strikeouts in the circle.
The Titans wrap up the regular season this week when they take on Johnston on Thursday then Cranston East on Friday. They sat in second place behind the Avengers with a record of 13-3.
