Tori Lynn Andreozzi

Tori Lynn Andreozzi, 32. On Tuesday, November 1, 2022 danced into the loving arms of her brother Robbie (Robert Joseph Andreozzi, Jr.).

A resident of Narragansett, RI for the last 17 years, her heart will forever be with her hometown of West Warwick, shining as a West Warwick Wizard.

Struck by a hit and run drunk driver while walking home from her school bus on March 26, 2003, at the age of just 12, she waged an epic battle to survive. Under the care and tutelage of a team of dedicated and loving professionals then and throughout her journey, Tori not only survived but thrived.

A state, National and World Champion in martial arts, Tori brought that indomitable spirit into the ring for the fight of her life.

At 12 years old, her favorite movie and philosophy, “Pay It Forward” became the blueprint for a Foundation created in her name. As a karate champion, Tori had signature moves and a signature tagline. Known as the “little girl with the big red bow;” holding her ankle she’d raise her leg over her head and drop into a split. Through the principles of her Foundation, her name became synonymous with Choices. Her signature look was--her luminous smile. To receive that smile was a singular privilege.

Though rendered immobile and non-verbal because of a traumatic and anoxic brain injury, Tori moved mountains and spoke volumes with her expressive eyes. And a movement was launched in her name.

Recognizing there is a choice in every moment, finding the courage to make a difference, while sustaining hope for the future was to become this warrior’s cry.

In addition to participation in and the creation of programs, law enforcement, charities and students benefitted through the mission of her Foundation.

And while the life Tori should have lived was altered but for the choice of one, the point is, Tori lived. She lived a life of meaning and purpose constantly surrounded by joy and love.

The extraordinary impact that Tori had can never be quantified. It is simply too vast.

Tori swam with the dolphins during two trips to Florida and was able to revisit a childhood passion of riding horses. She participated in an Obstacle Course Race to honor her brother and was featured in the final commercial for everyone’s favorite store, Benny’s. Tori even traveled to and competed in a National Fred Astaire Ballroom Dance Competition. A wheelchair ballroom dance program was created with Tori as its’ inspiration. DanceAbility is a complementary program funded by her Foundation in conjunction with the Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Narragansett. Through her Foundation and in her name hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised and distributed to and for worthy causes.

Daughter of Cathy Andreozzi, along with her companion Mark Constantine; Tori’s biggest fan and co-pilot, Tori shattered all expectations and enjoyed the best quality of life through her mother’s devotion and care.

She is survived by her best friend and sister-in-law, Shaynna Andreozzi and her loving niece, Lena Andreozzi. She is the maternal granddaughter of Ira Mobley and the late Rita Mobley of Warwick. Her father is Robert Andreozzi, Sr and she is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Stella and Rocco Andreozzi. Tori leaves her devoted aunts and uncles, David Mobley and his companion Pam Bibeault, Jodi and Paul Fontaine, Kerri and Carlos Rodrigues and her godmother Susanne Racca and husband Ed. Tori will forever be adored and admired by her cousins, caregivers and therapists, friends and so many she never met but who were inspired by her amazing story.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Her Mass may be live-streamed at:
