Tracy Ann Nelson, 60, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Philip Hulitar Hospice. Born in Warwick, she was the beloved daughter of Robert C. Nelson, W.P.D Capt. Ret. and the late Jane Ellen (McCarron) Nelson.
Tracy was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School and received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Rhode Island. She went on to receive her Master’s in Education from Rhode Island College and devotedly served as a Fourth and Fifth Grade Elementary School Teacher at Scott Elementary in Warwick for several years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in East Greenwich.
In addition to her father Robert, she is survived by her loving siblings, Robert S. Nelson, W.P.D. Major Ret. (wife Christine Nelson) of Warwick and Steven M. Nelson, W.P.D. (wife Kristen Nelson) of Warwick, and her nieces, Sierra J. Nelson and Callie J. Nelson.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 8:30AM from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 4th Avenue, East Greenwich. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
