Walk to unify
WALK TO UNIFY: Warwick Police went to City Park to “help cheer on the participants, who were out walking to help raise awareness and essential funds to support Rhode Island Special Olympic Athletes,” according to a post on the WPD social media accounts. “Way to go everyone!” According to Special Olympics Rhode Island (SORI), the “inaugural Unified Walk and 24-Hour Super Walk” helped “to raise awareness and essential funds for over 3,500 Rhode Islanders with intellectual disabilities.” The “inspiring event unites law enforcement members and recruits,” according to SORI, with “athletes, and supporters — all walking together.” (Photo courtesy SORI)
