Shortly before 10 p.m. on Nov. 26, Officer Kyle J. Fitzsimmons was traveling south on Greenwich Avenue near its intersection with East Avenue when he observed a vehicle following his cruiser “very closely.”

Fitzsimmons made a lane change and was passed by the vehicle, described as a white Toyota Camry. He then observed the vehicle travel at a speed greater than the posted speed limit of 35 mph.

The officer followed the vehicle and observed it cross the double-yellow lines and proceed through a red light while making a left turn onto Main Avenue.

At that point, Fitzsimmons initiated a motor vehicle stop and made contact with the operator. The officer reports that the operator exhibited “bloodshot and watery” eyes and “extremely slurred” speech, and that the odor of alcohol emanated from inside the vehicle.

The operator is said to have acknowledged consuming alcohol that night and agreed to undergo field sobriety testing, which he reportedly failed.

Lucas A. Molak, 21, 7 Ironwood Drive, Coventry, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to Warwick Police headquarters for processing. While at headquarters, he is said to have refused a chemical breath test.

Molak was later released into the custody of a sober adult and issued a summons to appear in Third Division District Court on a charge of driving under the influence. When the suspect left the fitting room, she had only a few items visibly in her possession, while a bag she was carrying now appeared “super full.” A check of the fitting room revealed no merchandise but several empty hangars.

The suspect then proceeded to the first floor using the escalator and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for merchandise. At that point, she was met by loss prevention personnel and escorted back inside the store.

The same article about Mr. Therrien's inconsiderate and ill-advised task scheduling was in the Beacon last Friday...thought I was experiencing deja vu.

Sounds like "Idiot" speaks from experience.
