The vehicle’s plates corresponded to a stolen vehicle reported by the Providence police. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Interstate 95 North just north of Motel 6. The driver was placed in handcuffs and taken to WPD headquarters, where he was charged with one count of receiving stolen goods. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Shea’s Towing.
