St. Patrick’s Day is a time for Irish-Americans honor their heritage and those who don’t have any Irish ethnicity try to pretend they do for a 24-hour period. It’s also a time when people head out to their local establishment to indulge in corned beef and cabbage and have a drink or two. March 17 falls on a Monday this year, but it doesn’t mean that folks can’t celebrate. In fact, there are a ton of fun events going on around Rhode Island featuring either live music, stand-up comedy or even a combination of both.
