Rhode Island College senior Chelsea Yang (Warwick), along with freshmen Katheryn Biliouris (West Warwick) and Imari Riebe (Randolph), were recognized by the Little East for their respective performances at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational on Friday, Feb. 7.
Yang was named the Little East Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this winter. She won the weight throw (19.03m) and placed sixth in the shot (10.28m).
Biliouris was named the Little East Women’s Rookie Track Athlete of the Week. She placed fourth in the 400m (1:04.69) and fifth in the long jump (4.64m).
Riebe was named the Little East Women’s Rookie Field Athlete of the Week. She placed second in the triple jump (10.20m) and 14th in the long jump (4.19m).
Head Coach Timothy Rudd’s team finished third (five teams) with a team score of 105.0. Coast Guard won the meet with a team score of 182.0.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15.
