Elsie (Ventura) Zienowicz, 95, of Foxborough, MA, formerly of Norwood Avenue, Warwick, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 9, 2025. Her long life was marked by profound love, unwavering kindness and a strong dedication to family, faith and friends.

She was the cherished wife of the late John H. Zienowicz; they shared 47 beautiful years together until his passing in 2009. Born in Fall River, MA, Elsie was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Marianna (Oliveira) Ventura. She made her home in Warwick since 1962, becoming a pillar of the community.
Mrs. Zienowicz was employed as a secretary at Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing where she met her husband and later was a clerk at Warwick City Hall before retiring.

She was a devoted and active communicant of the former St. William Church, where her faith and kindness were evident to all who knew her. A cherished member of both the Gaspee Seniors Group and the Warwick Senior Center, she found joy in the company of her peers. Her hobbies of sewing and knitting were a testament to her creativity and patience. She reveled in spending time with her family, traveling, practicing yoga, participating in the Walking Club, and immersing herself in the world of books. Her life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, and community.

Elsie leaves behind a daughter, Joanne Bilotta and her husband Paul of Foxboro, MA; a son, John L. Zienowicz and his wife Donna of Wales, MA; a grandson, Jake Bilotta; a granddaughter, Kristen Perrault; four great-grandchildren, Pearle, Marley and Colt and Willow and a sister, Elvira Aguiar.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick. Interment will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Mercy Homes for Boys & Girls or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory would be appreciated, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.
