Fervent religionists of any Faith often view our U. S. Constitution as the picks of a salad bar. . . take what you like, leave what you do not like. It doesn't work that way. The First Amendment's guarantee of Freedom of religion is also a similar guarantee of freedom *from* religion, and the Separation Clause is one of our clearest cnstitution provisos.
I applaud Jessica Ahlquist's efforts to maintain the Separation of Church and State, as well as the support of the Humanist group. How ironic it is that some of the most fanatical among the religionists have been hostile, and even made death threats. It has always been a matter for consternation, and irony that religions which preach peace, love, and tolerance, formostly, seem to seldom practice what they preach.
