If the State is hell bent on spending money on this, why not just spend it in Pawtucket? Why start from ground zero? The only people who will benefit from a new stadium are out of state owners who also are part owners of a team that has the oldest ballpark in the Majors. Why not build a really razoo park for the Red Sox here in RI and call the team the New England Red Sox? I bet they could make a boatload of money from that and the bottom line is the only thing they care about.
