When you say he has an "interest" in RIPTA, do you mean financial, i.e.; stock holdings, board member, etc., or does he just fancy public transit drivers like Walt Whitman did? If RIPTA seems to "own" the RP Pier, perhaps he envisions some kind of ferry service in the future. As far as compensation is concerned, his financials are a matter of public record, are they not? That disclosure should be provided for, although we all know how that works in RI- no one thinks a union attorney on the General Assembly is a conflict of interest, either...Ohhhh, the humanity...
