Dear Tom ("TC"),
We have breakfast every Saturday and I have learned an encyclopedia of information from you over the last year or so. One of your greatest lessons is that we should listen, not just speak. Sometimes, people on the council talk counter productively. Sometimes they talk just to hear themselves talk. Often they talk with no effect on the ultimate outcome. You don't. You never have and I respect that about you very much. Please keep guiding me to listen more; talk less. It's a lesson your fellow council members, as well as many in the audience, would be wise to follow. God gave us 2 ears and only one mouth for a reason.
