Report Inappropriate Comments

Maybe it was too much to expect the losing candidate to be graceful in his inevitable defeat. Instead, he alleges "rigged" polls and attempts a post-loss smear of the mayor, claiming 237 PAC checks to Mayor Avedisian with, as usual, no evidence.

Maybe he's sore that the winning Mayor can count on support from groups and companies that believe in his 16-year management of the city, whereas the losing candidate just wasted $40,000 on his losing run.

Maybe he should have resolved the tax delinquency on his property, which would have been a much more productive use of his time and money.

"My critics hopefully will learn that if they don't like my comments they can simply choose not to read them."

Maybe he'll learn that getting his name on a ballot did not magically earn him a level of respect or deference that requires others to remain silent while he pushed clearly false claims about his own tax payments, the state of the business sector in Warwick, and the city's overall financial state.

Maybe he'll learn that readers won't tolerate false claims. Maybe he'll learn that insulting voters and disparaging the city are not successful strategies to winning a campaign. Maybe he'll learn that the most effective way to keep people from reading his comments is not to post them on this site.
