Here are the two problems.

1. Warwick schools are in need of costly repairs that haven't been made over the past several years.

2. the Warwick School Committee (SC) can't be trusted with the taxpayers money. The have spent over A BILLION DOLLARS of the taxpayers money since 2009 and we have little to show for it and getting information from them is, as Councilman Rix states, "like pulling teeth". The solution according to the SC, is to give this untrustworthy organization $85,000,000 more!

I have a solution. Before we give them 85 CENTS more, let's have an independent audit from an outside company to determine what is the truth and what are they hiding.

The new budget is $167,000,000 for a student body that has shrunk from 17,000 to under 9,000. Add the additional $85,000,000 the SC wants and the cost of educating our children increases to a whopping $28,000 per child. I don't know of one school in the country that costs that much.

Happy Easter everyone
