For years Donna Travis has donated her time unselfishly to this and many other events. She has done more good for Oakland Beach than any other person. Wait. Change that. She has done more good for Oakland Beach than EVERY other person combined. She donates hundreds of hours a year working for free on charitable events like the ones at JONAH, National Night Out, the Carnival, Christmas Celebrations, the 4th of July events, and now the Easter Egg hunt, just to name a few. Her critics be damned. They can talk to me. She deserves a statue at the entrance. Her husband, who donated his van to charity, does too.
