Dear Scal1024,
Please read the above. The teachers deserve additional money because of the delay caused solely by the School Committee. Whatever their contract would have been if it was done in, say, 2 months, should be increased when it is delayed for 2 years.
Even you should agree with that Scal. Our quality of life in Warwick is greatly effected by our School Committee and Scal, this School Committee is harming that quality of life... and the taxpayers...and the teachers...and the parents...and mostly the students.
I applaud the Mayor for joining in the negotiations recently but maybe we should go back to the Mayor Walsh idea of locking them all in a room and not letting them out until we have a signed agreement. I almost think that should be the next step.
Frustrating as it is to us, can you imagine how it must feel to be a Warwick school teacher in these times.
