I just canceled my United reservation to/from RI because they made changes to my itinerary which I had specifically AVOIDED when making the reservation, and I then made new reservations with American; had I known their pilots were so petty, I would have flown on a Southwest cattle car.

Most US carriers hate foreign airline competition because they prefer a closed market where they can treat their customers however they please; once US customers experience the level of service of foreign carriers, they waish they could use those airlines domestically.
