My child will go to Greenwood Elementary in the fall so this caught my attention.

While this is certainly not great for Mr. Gannon it looks like he got caught in a numbers crunch.

There are currently 16 elementary schools in the system and there will be 13 come September. Simple math tells me that three principals and who knows how many teachers will be looking for jobs for next fall. What are we supposed to do, keep principals on the payroll to run closed schools?

Again, not so great for Mr. Gannon, but necessary for the school system. If he's as good as the teachers claim, he'll find another job. But there better be a good one moving into Greenwood Elementary.
