The only recent case of fully automatic weapons fire was in Vegas. Sandy Hook and Parkland were semi-automatic fire. Why does it matter? Because thousands of readers believe the AR 15 fires fully automatic. Now, in RI, lawmakers are talking of taking away AR15s or having people get permits for them. This will lead to a defacto registration of who has AR15s.
The solution is to put either armed security or retired police or police details in our schools. It would not cost a great deal of money. Certainly not compared to the huge budget the school department issues each year.
