Why on earth would you renew contracts when there is still a full year remaining on the current contract? I know of no other employer that would do that. Personally I think it's because the "4 in favor, Ms Bacchus dissenting" SC, who are so far up Phil's but it's ridiculous, know that once the majority of them are gone, Thornton would have been fired by the "4 in favor, Mr Testa dissenting" school committee.
