As the article explains, part of the reason for this year's budget increase are "salary and pension costs increasing exponentially."

Before the union-pandering make-believe mayor posts a comment seeking to lay all blame on the school committee for this, he should [but won't] recall the union tactics that led to the recent contract that requires 3-percent salary increases and accompanying pension costs: work-to-rule, pickets, and sick-outs that a judge ruled were actually illegal strikes.

And before he tries to defend the city council -- who knew, last year, what the cost of the new contract would be -- he should [but won't] consider how the council created a $4.2 million deficit in FY18 instead of responsibly funding the budget.

Readers should expect the make-believe mayor to thoroughly humiliate himself in his next comment.
