A viewpoint from a different side:
I had a lot of friends that smoked and they hated that they couldn't quit. The vast majority were girls with a few guys in the mix. All but one of my friends quit smoking within 3 months of switching to vaping. It helped them step down on the nicotine levels and not feel the withdrawals as intensely as when they tried to go cold turkey.
It is mostly young boys/men that vape. They use it as a tool to look cool and act like a you know what. For the most part, young people aren't drawn to it as a safer alternative to smoking. You don't see too many girls walking around blowing mist into other people's faces and making it into a competition. Target the real demographic instead of the ones on the fringe that are using it for a purpose.
