Questions that should be asked of "school candidates", but won't be:

1. Why is Warwick's per-pupil spending significantly higher than all surrounding communities?

2. Given this high level of spending, why are only one-third of Warwick high school students deemed "proficient" in Language Arts, and fewer than 1 in 7 Pilgrim students are deemed proficient in Math according to RI Dept. of Education?

3. Why are Warwick boys so dramatically under-represented when honor rolls are posted each quarter?

4. Why do Warwick's high school athletic teams compete in lower divisions against much smaller schools despite having two of the largest high schools in the state?

5. Why are none of the above questions, all of which point to Warwick's level of academic and athletic competitiveness (or lack there of) openly discussed at school committee meetings, or anywhere for that matter?

6. Why have school committee members completely abdicated their responsibility to hold schools to a standard of excellence?

7. What will various candidates do to change any of this?
