I voted for Corey Smith although I never saw anything about his campaign other than the Beacon article. Nathan Cornell sent my house a letter that was hand signed. I appreciated the effort, even though I was unlikely to vote for someone so inexperienced and unlikely to display the fiscal discipline necessary in a city that is clearly financially distressed. Our schools are taking the city to court despite a max 4.25% tax increase last July. That's not good. Time will tell if the new members have the maturity and discipline to lead. Being an outside agitator as Cornell was, is one thing. Having to make the math work is very different. Good luck to the new Committee.
