jim with all due respect, until this turned up, wfd had a fine reputation. if cote "made you all look bad" it was not without help from yourselves, with the cushman letter, destroyed records, and general intransigence, and a made-for-tv "fire inspection!". at some point you may find yourself saying "we should have just come clean" and owned up to the bogus side-agreement, and shoddy records and said "we'll cooperate in a fix". just because you hate the watch dog himself doesnt make it ok to stonewall on what everyone by now can see is a big problem.

on the other hand, if nothing else, this has forced the new mayor to reform and open up the contracting process with a "portal" and "watermarks". those are good now lets see in five years how updated and accessible that "contracts portal" still is...

again I'm just a taxpayer with no other dog in this fight.
