I was job hunting and there was an opening at AAA. I was told by multiple people to not work there because it is a miserable place to work. I don't know that for a fact. I do know that I stayed away based on their opinion.

I had to get a tire changed and was having a problem with a lug nut. It was around 7:00pm. I called AAA and was told it would be a 4 hour wait. I also called Geico (free service with my insurance policy) and they said within the hour. I called AAA back and told them to cancel my appointment. I was already home asleep with the tire replaced when I received a call from AAA 5 hours after I placed my service call. The technician was outside my home ready to fix the tire. Not only was it 5 hours after I called for service, it was at the wrong location because I had been at work when I called them for assistance and i the canceled call wasn't properly updated in the system. Wasted the technicians time when he could have been helping someone else.

They used to be the gold standard. It could be that they don't train as they used to or they can't retain good employees. That would help explain the customer service and long wait times. In any event, I too probably will never visit their new location once opened. Everything I need to do can be found on one mobile app.
