Will Infosys hire Americans or continue their practice of sending over cheaper Indian employees? Be careful what you wish for. Citizens & CVS have hired a lot Indian engineering & other employees. Many of these employees save as much of their money as they can and take as much money as they can back home with them. Good for them, bad for our economy. We need people living in RI (no matter where they were born) to spend their money in our economy. Is there a need to import engineering from overseas? Or are companies like Infosys really good at gaming the Visa system? I don't know, but there is definitely a cost to workers whose motivation is to take their money out of the local economy & return it to their home country.
