So raiding the pension fund of an underfunded plan and then lowering the contributions is their idea to put a bandaid on this issue?
Politicians doing this is exactly why these funds are underfunded in the first place. In 20 years the city will be crying about the fund being underfunded and blame the workers. Where have we seen and heard this before.
There ought to be a law against shenanigans like this.
