Report Inappropriate Comments

29 WHEREAS, within the parameters set forth herein, the City Council and the Mayor has

30 recommended that:

31 1. That the $4 Million needed by the School Department to fund the deficit in fiscal year

32 2018-2019 be repaid to the City without interest at $1 Million per year commencing

33 July 1, 2019; and

34 2. A supplemental appropriation of Three Million Nine Hundred Eighty-five Thousand

35 Four Hundred Seventy-four ($3,985,474.00) Dollars be made to the School

36 Department by the City for the fiscal year 2019-2020 to fund items No. 1 through No.

37 17 on the Exhibit attached hereto with the money being drawn from the City’s funds

38 as follows:

39 $1,000,000 from the contingency line item;

40 $1,000,000 from the City’s Fund Balance;

41 $1,085,474 from the road paving line item;

42 $ 600,000 from the legal department; and

43 $ 300,000 from the fire department overtime line item; and
