Spot on. The homeowners that have been paying $20,000+ in annual taxes shouldn't be screwed by the city council. Many of these people sent or send their kids to private school, saving the city $17,000 per child per year. Sorry to see the working and middle class homeowners taking the brunt of increases. That said, screwing the city's biggest benefactors should be considered anathema to our sense of fairness.
