There goes Merolla talking about fiscal cliffs again and how Warwick could have retiree benefits altered like Cranston and Providence did.

But Warwicks pension funds are sufficiently funded and the city posts surpluses every year. So Warwick is nothing like those other distressed communities. Just another example of how Merolla is full of crap.

Everyone expects Merolla and Ladouceur to vote no and grandstand while doing so. Just vote no then. There is no. need to drag this thing out. The other city councilors don’t agree with their games and that is why this special meeting was scheduled. Funny how out of touch the council President is that this had to occur.

I wonder how long Merolla and Ladouceur will try and filibuster on Friday night?

All this to appease the three stooges who will never be satisfied no matter what is in the contract (Cushman, Cote, and Block). Funny that all 3 of them seem to have personal grudges against the firefighters. You never see them speak out against the municipal or police contracts.
