Scal I do agree with you 100%. I am a Warwick resident, I raised 2 girls that went through the Warwick School system. I was a Warwick Firefighter for 30 years and retired with a pension.

The issue I’m having is the relentless continued attack of this profession. It appears and it’s been going on for years that they can’t do anything correct.

I firmly believe certain individuals go above and beyond to try and attempt to humiliate and embarrass the WFD on a continual basis.

I don’t see the humiliation, name calling, intimidation with the other unions by certain individuals.

Human nature for anyone will take over when you feel continual attack.

I for one served proudly and admirably. I walked away head held I for the service I provided.

I did my part and I expect the city to do there’s. Yes times have changed and things need to change we all realize this.

This will not be fixed overnight. This is a long haul recovery but it was a start in the right direction but to some it wasn’t enough.

Where does it go from here I don’t know but as I said earlier you can only attack and insult for so long before you start retaliating.

The pot calling the kettle black without looking in a mirror really strikes me with some of them and there antics.

Before anyone gives me grief I am pension 1 that doesn’t get a compounded cola and I don’t get free healthcare either.

If pension 1 runs out of money in 10-20 years guess what I probably don’t get paid anymore and that’s the reality of it.

So stop saying we all retire millionaires when it isn’t true.

As is said earlier there is a TA in place let the council vote it down.

Go to arbitration and let it play out.
