Everyone wants a piece of the pie. The taxpayer is left holding the bill. Things never change in this city/state/nation. What if every taxpayer was as self-serving as our elected officials? What if we said it is in our best interest to NOT pay the taxes you have proposed to balance your budget? It has been stated that just about 80% of the school budget is spent on salary, benefits and pensions. That doesn't leave a lot left over for our children's education.
