Scottie hasn't done anything for 10 years regarding legacy costs. Unfunded healthcare costs are approaching $280 million and Scottie doesn't have a dime in the bank to pay for this outlandish benefit. Why are we giving this healthcare benefits to city workers. The school dept. gives this benefit to only the retiree and it stops at age 65. Scottie gives it to both husband and wife for life with no co-pays. Outrageous.
Scottie touts how great Fire II pension plan is but keep in mind it gets an automatic 3 % cola increase every year. It costs the taxpayers millions to meet the actuarial requirements each year.
Benefits for city workers have to be slashed.
