Barnes & Noble Warwick will host bestselling author and sports radio talk show host Michael Holley for a meet, greet and booksigning for his new book, Belichick and Brady: Two Men, the Patriots, and How They Revolutionized Football, on Saturday, Dec.17 at 6 p.m. at 1350 Bald Hill Road, Warwick.

Everyone knows that a championship organization cannot be established in the NFL without two major components: an elite coach and a franchise quarterback. Today, the New England Patriots have both in their head coach and team builder Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. From their humble beginnings together in 2000, the duo quickly rose through the ranks of the NFL and have now won more games than any coach-quarterback team in league history.

Tom Brady, who has played his entire professional career under Belichick’s guidance, has won 77 percent of his games, more than other legendary quarterbacks such as Roger Staubach (74%), Joe Montana (71%), and Peyton Manning (70%). But how did this happen? How have Belichick and Brady been able to sustain a winning record, and how long will they be able to continue on this streak? What were, and are now more than ever, some of the challenges that threatened the staying power of this historic partnership?

These questions, and the dynamic between two of football’s most iconic champions, is explored in Holley’s book, which tells the epic inside story of the rise and dominance of Brady, Belichick and the New England Patriots like no other book or documentary has ever done before.

Holley has interviewed dozens of current and former Patriots players, coaches and executives to provide an unprecedented portrait of Belichick and Brady. Timed to the beginning of the 2016 NFL season and to Brady’s first game back after his controversial “Deflategate” suspension, Belichick and Brady reveal how their partnership has yielded four Super bowl rings, a feat unsurpassed by any other NFL team in recent history, and explores fascinating behind-the-scene details about their partnership, ambitions and how they strategized together and weathered dramatic public controversies.

In Patriot Reign (2004), Holley wrote a bestselling look inside what makes the Patriots organization tick and win. In War Room (2011), Holley explored the draft and personnel strategy that makes the Patriots win year in and year out. Now, in Belichick & Brady, he will examine how two of the most polarizing figures in football have mastered team-building on an elite level and formed the core of what is arguably the greatest dynasty in the NFL.

Holley is the author of the New York Times bestsellers Patriot Reign, War Room, Never Give Up (with Tedy Bruschi) and Red Sox Rule. He was a Boston Globe sportswriter for 10 years and is the co-host of the Dale & Holley show on Boston sports radio station WEEI. Holley lives in Boston with his three children.
