For the past 52 years, Bill Cosby has entertained the world with his menagerie of iconic characters, witty quips and unmatched physical comedy. The comedic legend will return to the Providence Performing Arts Center with his all new show, Bill Cosby 77, on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for Bill Cosby 77 go on sale Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. at the PPAC Box Office, 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence, online at www.ppacri.org and by phone at 421-ARTS (2787).

From humble beginnings in the projects of Philadelphia, Bill Cosby began his legendary career as a stand-up comedian, becoming a coast-to-coast sensation and spawning a string of hilarious, best-selling comedy albums, which went on to win five Grammy awards. Then, in 1965, Cosby took on a leading role (as Alexander Scott) in TV’s I Spy, making him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series and earning him three Emmy awards. He then played such notable characters as Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show, Fat Albert, Elliot Hopper in Ghost Dad, Marko the Magician on The Electric Company and, later, the biggest fan of Jell-O pudding pops.

The one-man show will feature the granddaddy of funny, making his unique and hilarious observations on the world. His clean, true-to-life humor has the unique ability to touch the hearts of many people. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see legendary Bill Cosby at PPAC.
