Christy M. (Squittiere) Genske, 27, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Christopher M. Genske.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Michael V. and Jane B. (Quirk) Squittiere. Christy was working as a classroom behavior specialist for autistic children at BrightSpots, Inc. in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s School in Warwick, Bayview Academy and Salve Regina University, Class of 2010, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Studio Art. She was currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She had worked at the Groden Center and Bradley School before moving to Louisiana last year.

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her brother, Michael V. Squittiere, Jr.; and grandparents, Mae A. Quirk and Francis and Emily Squittiere. She was the granddaughter of the late James P. Quirk, Esq.

Her funeral was held Monday, November 23, from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave. Visiting hours were Sunday.
