It was a hopping time at Oakland Beach Elementary School Saturday morning, as school children and neighborhood youth took part in an Easter egg hunt and bonnet contest, which was sponsored by the Oakland Beach Association. Marie Cavanaugh, chairperson of the hunt, said she was grateful to be able to hold several raffles, as local businesses such as Backstreet Bar and Grill, Antonio’s Bakery, The Carousel Grille, Peter’s Coney Island System, Iggy’s Doughboys and Chowder House, Cliantro Mexican Grill, Dockside Seafood Marketplace, Sunnyside Restaurant, Char’s Flower Shoppe, and Don Rodrigues Karate Academy donated products.
