Edward Joseph Tanzi, age 86, of Florida passed away December 1.
He was born August 23, 1929 in Warwick to Victoria and John Tanzi. Mr. Tanzi was a Senior Chief in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service. Mr. Tanzi owned Ed's Eats from 1983-1994.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edward R. Tanzi. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Aurelia “Nena”; sons, Michael (Tammy) Tanzi and Luis (Edwina) Tanzi; daughter-in-law, Laurie Tanzi; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Joseph Tanzi, Frances Losee, Virginia Cabral, and Rita Mobley, all of Warwick. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law John Cabral and Ira Mobley, both of Warwick, and was uncle to three generations of nieces and nephews.
Inurnment was held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park. FL.
