Gasoline prices in Rhode Island remain unchanged from last week, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s Sept. 2 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.52 per gallon, the same as last week. Prices locally are 8 cents lower than a month ago. The current price is 9 cents more than the national average for regular unleaded of $3.43. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was 21 cents higher at $3.73.
The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 35 cents, from a low of $3.38 to a high of $3.73. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up – every trip, every time.
