Ghosts on tour

The weather didn’t cooperate the night of Oct. 28, but that didn’t deter Trinity Episcopal Church from moving ahead with its first Ghost and Vampire Tour of Pawtuxet Village. But the following night was perfect for the tour with more than 120 turning out. The tour was the brainchild of Mayor Scott Avedisian, and he and Chris Allen pulled it together. More than $3,200 was raised that will go to Trinity’s social outreach ministry that includes the collection of food, clothing and household goods for distribution to those in need. O’Rourke’s Bar and Grill sponsored the tours. The 45-minute walking tour included stops at the Bank Café, Bank Street and the historic cemetery. Area businesses helped make the event a success with the donation of gift certificates and items for raffle drawings.
