Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island and Garden City Center in Cranston will be offering a free electronics and clothing drive on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. until noon.
Goodwill accepts all electronics, regardless of whether they are in working order, with the exception of tube televisions, but flat screen televisions are accepted. If it plugs in, Goodwill accepts it.
Clothing and textiles may be ripped or stained, and may even be worn out. Items in good condition will be used for interviews for our job seekers. The remainder will be sold, with the proceeds supporting our job training programs. You may also donate curtains, towels, linens tablecloths, backpacks, and even single shoes.
The funds raised from the collection of electronics and textiles are reinvested in the training programs offered by Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island, furthering its mission to train those with disabilities and other barriers to employment and continue to work with disconnected youth in the state.
