The MS Dream Center will host its first Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The fair, which is offered free of charge to the community to the MS community, will feature a variety of health and wellness exhibitions and activities. The MS Dream Center is located at 155 Gansett Ave. in Cranston (the Peter Pastore Building).
The keynote speaker is Peter Calabresi, MD, director of the MS Center at Johns Hopkins University. Courtney Macksoud, DPT MSCS, from Rhode Island Rehabilitation Center will perform an exercise demonstration. Walgreens will offer flu shots, blood pressure screenings, and pharmacists to answer questions on medications.

“The first Annual Health & Wellness Fair is another way the MS Dream Center is supporting and educating individuals with MS and their loved ones,” said Anne DelSignore, director of the MS Dream Center. “This event gives people the opportunity to hear from Dr. Calabresi, a nationally-renowned expert in MS, while also learning more about exercise and other wellness options.”
The MS Dream Center was founded in April 2010 with a mission of engaging all members of the MS community in purposeful activity, while promoting a spirit of camaraderie. The center offers a wide range of activities from support groups and exercise programs to educational seminars and various therapies.
