He’s running, but for what?

The invites have been delivered and the word is out that Scott Avedisian will hold his first fundraiser of the election year May 24 at the Iron Works Tavern on Jefferson Boulevard.

But will Avedisian seek a seventh term as mayor of Warwick?

Avedisian isn’t saying.

“I would rather that people wait and see at the event. There is a method to my process and hope that it will make sense as it unfolds,” the mayor said in response to an email Monday.

While the return card to purchase tickets at $100 per person and $150 a couple asks that checks be made payable to Avedisian for Mayor, the invitation says nothing about an announcement.

It reads, “You are cordially invited to join friends and supporters for an evening with Mayor Scott Avedisian.”

More telling is the front of the invitation featuring a serious shot of the mayor against a background of accomplishments from the Confreda Farm Sports Complex to the Warwick Station Development District Master Plan, first automated trash collections to the Gorton Fishing Pier. Inter disbursed are quotes from the Warwick Beacon, Providence Journal and the Providence Phoenix editorials on Avedisian as a visionary, leader of the Republican Party and hard worker.

The event is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and includes a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres.

Let's hope he is running out of Warwick. What an incompetent person.......will go down in history in a few years that led Warwick into bankruptcy.

Also is far from being a nice person.....ask his staff about his tirades.

How do you figure bankruptcy? Never happen. Doesn't need to happen...
